About ExplorerCanada
What exactly does ExplorerCanada do?
We help newcomers prepare their first days in Canada with arrival planning, city orientation, budget tools, airport pickup coordination, and practical first-week guidance.
Service limits
Are you a real estate agency?
No. ExplorerCanada is a newcomer concierge and settlement-orientation service. We are not a real estate agency, broker, or rental platform.
Do you own or manage apartments?
No. We do not own, manage, list, rent, sublet, or broker any housing. Our role is limited to guidance, preparation, orientation, and coordination support.
Can you guarantee housing?
No. We cannot and do not guarantee housing. We help you prepare for your own housing search with rental-readiness guidance and neighbourhood orientation.
Can you negotiate a lease for me?
No. We do not negotiate leases or represent tenants or landlords. Lease decisions are entirely yours.
Arrival planning
Can I use the service before I arrive?
Yes. Most of our guidance is most useful before you land, so you arrive with a clear plan instead of figuring everything out on the spot.
Can you help families?
Yes. Family arrival planning covers children's first-week needs and orientation on schools, childcare, and daily logistics.
Can you help students?
Yes. Student arrival planning covers budgeting, admin orientation, and settling-in basics. It is not immigration or admissions advice.
Housing search preparation
Can you help me prepare for a housing search?
Yes. We offer housing-search preparation guidance: rental-readiness checklists, document preparation tips, and educational neighbourhood orientation — so you can search confidently on your own.
Budget calculator
Is the budget calculator free?
Yes. The arrival budget calculator is free to use and gives planning-only estimates for your first week and first month.
Airport pickup
What is included in airport pickup coordination?
We coordinate your airport pickup based on your flight details and help plan your arrival day. ExplorerCanada coordinates pickup requests but does not present itself as a taxi company unless legally authorised.
City guides
What cities do you cover?
We currently focus on Montreal, Ottawa, Gatineau, Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Laval, Longueuil, and Sherbrooke.
Pricing
How does pricing work?
Free tools are available to everyone. Paid plans are quoted based on your needs. No package includes real estate brokerage, rental guarantees, lease negotiation, or regulated advice.
